In a pioneering move that sets new standards for mail delivery in remote communities, Royal Mail, in collaboration with drone firm Skyports, has introduced the UK’s first-ever drone delivery service in the picturesque archipelago of Orkney.
The Orkney I-Port operation, a result of months of planning and cooperation, aims to revolutionize the delivery process for letters and parcels in the region. The service will commence with an initial three-month trial period, with the potential to become a permanent solution.
